Bank ABC Egypt Money Market Fund - Mazaya is an open-ended Egyptian Pound-denominated money market fund with a daily cumulative return. It aims to manage liquidity and generate a daily return on invested funds by investing in a diversified portfolio of short-term debt instruments denominated in Egyptian Pounds. Its investments include government and banking debt instruments, corporate debt instruments, repurchase agreements (Repos), Treasury Bills, bank certificates of deposit, in addition to units of other money market funds, making it suitable for investors seeking a low-risk investment with a high level of liquidity.
The fund's investment policy is based on a set of investment limits and guidelines designed to achieve a balance between return and risk management. The fund may hold up to 95% of invested funds in the form of cash, current accounts, or deposits with banks supervised by the Central Bank of Egypt. It may also invest up to 100% in Treasury Bills and Central Bank Sukuk, and up to 40% in Egyptian Treasury Bonds. The Prospectus also stipulates that investments in bank certificates of deposit may not exceed 10% of invested funds unless the Central Bank of Egypt permits corporate entities to invest in them.
With regard to investment diversification limits, the combined investments in deposits, debt securities, and certificates of deposit with a single issuer, excluding government entities and public sector banks, may not exceed 40% of invested funds. In addition, investments in corporate bonds with a credit rating of no less than BBB- or its equivalent may not exceed 20% of invested funds, provided that the fund's investments in securities issued by a single issuer do not exceed 10% of the fund's net assets within this limit.
