Makaseb Money Market Fund - GIG Egypt Takaful Shariah

Makaseb Money Market Fund – GIG Egypt Takaful Shariah is a multi-issuance open-ended investment fund established by GIG Egypt Takaful. The fund invests exclusively in short- and medium-term liquid financial instruments that comply with Islamic Sharia principles .. and aims to achieve a daily cumulative return while allowing investors to subscribe and redeem on a daily basis with a high level of liquidity.

The fund consists of two separate issuances, each with independent accounts, and is managed by NI Capital. The second issuance does not include any insurance feature .. resulting in lower associated costs compared to the first issuance.

The fund is permitted to invest in government treasury bills by up to 100% of total investments, short-term certificates by up to 70%, treasury bonds, government sukuk, and Egyptian financing sukuk by up to 70%, in addition to corporate financing instruments issued by companies with a minimum credit rating of BBB, with a maximum allocation of 40%.

The fund may also invest in repurchase agreements by up to 50%, while maintaining liquidity in the form of cash, deposits, and bank certificates of up to 80% of total assets .. supporting the fund’s ability to provide high liquidity and efficient risk management.
