PFI Cashi Money Market Fund is an open-ended money market fund designed to provide a flexible solution for managing short-term cash balances. It enables investors to benefit from a daily cumulative return while maintaining a high level of liquidity and easy access to their funds whenever needed.
PFI Cashi Money Market Fund primarily invests in Egyptian pound-denominated money market instruments and short-term fixed income securities. The fund may hold up to 80% of its net assets in cash, current accounts, and bank deposits, and may invest up to 100% of its assets in Egyptian treasury bills.
The combined investment in treasury bonds and debt instruments issued by Egyptian companies may not exceed 49% of net assets. In addition, investment in short-term bank savings certificates may not exceed 60%, subject to obtaining approval from the Central Bank of Egypt when required. The fund may also invest up to 40% of its assets in repurchase agreements (repos), while investments in similar investment funds may not exceed 40% of net assets, with a maximum of 20% allocated to any single fund.
In accordance with the regulations governing money market funds, the remaining maturity of any investment within the portfolio may not exceed 396 days, and the weighted average maturity of the portfolio may not exceed 150 days. The fund is also required to maintain diversification, with investments in any single issuance limited to 10% of net assets, except for government securities.
