Bank of Alexandria Fund No. 1 Income & Capital Growth Fund is an open-ended investment fund that invests primarily in equities, aiming to distribute periodic returns and grow investors' capital. The fund was licensed by the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority under license No. 31, issued on September 28, 1994, making it one of the oldest investment funds in Egypt.

The fund's allocation to equities listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange ranges between a minimum of 45% and a maximum of 90% of total fund assets. Investments in bonds and sukuk may not exceed 50% of total assets. Cash and liquidity instruments are maintained at a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 30% of net assets, and are deployed in low-risk instruments that can be converted to cash immediately.

How are profits distributed?

The fund distributes semi-annual dividends to investors, with the distribution ratio not exceeding 70% of net realized profits for the period. The remaining balance is reinvested in the fund for the benefit of unitholders. Profit sources include equity dividends, bond yields, capital gains realized from the sale of securities, and unrealized gains resulting from increases in the portfolio's market value.
