Konooz Fund is an open-ended investment fund with a cumulative periodic return that focuses primarily on investing in equities listed on the Egyptian Exchange, while also having the flexibility to invest in debt instruments and investment fund units within the limits and allocations specified in the prospectus. This diversified approach gives the investment manager greater flexibility in asset allocation according to market conditions and available investment opportunities.
Konooz Fund may invest up to 95% of its net assets in equities listed on the Egyptian Exchange, and up to 60% in debt instruments with a credit rating of BBB or higher in accordance with the regulations of the Financial Regulatory Authority.
The fund may also invest up to 40% of its net assets in other investment funds, provided that the allocation to any single fund does not exceed 20% of Konooz Fund's net assets or 5% of the total units of the underlying fund.
In addition, the fund is required to maintain cash liquidity of at least 5% of its net assets, with the possibility of increasing this percentage to 30% when necessary.
Konooz Fund units can be purchased daily through the Export Development Bank of Egypt and its branches. Redemption requests are processed on a weekly basis, and investors may submit redemption requests up to 12:00 noon on any banking business day. Redemption proceeds are paid on the last banking business day of each week in accordance with the provisions of the fund prospectus.
