QNB Tadawol Fund is an open-ended investment fund that aims to grow investors’ capital through investing in a diversified range of financial instruments within the Egyptian market. The fund follows a flexible investment approach that allows the investment manager to allocate assets between equities, fixed-income instruments, and cash positions according to market conditions, economic developments, and investment opportunities.
The fund primarily focuses on investing in equities listed on the Egyptian Exchange as the main driver of long-term capital growth. However, it maintains significant flexibility in asset allocation, allowing part of its portfolio to be invested in treasury bills, treasury bonds, bank deposits, savings certificates, and other fixed-income securities to manage risk, enhance liquidity, and capitalize on changing market conditions.
The investment policy of QNB Tadawol Fund allows between 40% and 95% of net assets to be invested in listed Egyptian equities, subscription rights, local depositary receipts, and equity index funds. In addition, up to 30% of net assets may be invested in bonds and sukuk, while up to 50% may be allocated to cash, bank deposits, current accounts, and savings certificates, provided that at least 5% of the fund’s assets remain readily available as liquid cash.
To promote diversification, investments in any single economic sector may not exceed 30% of the equity portfolio. Investments in stocks outside the EGX30 Index are limited to 25% of net assets. Furthermore, investments in non-government bonds and sukuk may not exceed 20% of assets, while government bonds and sukuk are capped at 30%. Investments in bank savings certificates are limited to 10% of net assets, and investments in other mutual funds may not exceed 20% of net assets.
